The competitive nature within me came back to life. I was feeling what I had been missing since I stopped playing baseball. Second, developing relationships with all my teammates that will last a lifetime.\n\nWhen did it become competitive for you?\nThe game has always been competitive for me… ever since I started playing\n\nIn the 3 years that I have played. I have gone from an E rated player to a B rated Conference level player. My first taste of a “large” tournament was in the beginning of the 2024 when I represented Nevada in the E Division at the Challenge Cup. We put up a 6-2 record overall (I think it’s the best the state has ever done) and finished 5th overall. That same year I started and ended the year playing at the D level. Then, last year instead of playing in the C Division I was invited to play for CutThroat Sports, a Conference B Team out of California. As a 24-year old rookie in the Conference, I put up numbers that put me in conversation as a rookie of the year candidate. In AA and below, I was 50th in OBP (.712), 1st in Doubles (30), and 13th in Average w\/out HRs or BBs. I was a two time all-tournament selection and we finished the year 4th at B Worlds and 2nd at A Worlds!","why_i_love_the_game":"I love the game of slowpitch because I’m able to step away from real life and just play. I’ve gotten to come in contact with people as far east as Florida to as far north as Canada! Not only have I been lucky enough to share the happiness that comes along with playing slowpitch, but I have also made friendships that will last long past my playing days. That’s the best feeling of all.\n\nMotivation-wise, my desire to be great at what I do is what keeps me going. I want to pursue the highest level attainable in the game and I won’t stop grinding until I do.","why_slugger":"When did you first swing a Slugger?\nThe first time I swung Slugger was in late 2023. It was the very first USSSA bat that I owned for myself. The bat that I purchased was a 26.5 oz Marshburn 2.0, which I used all last year in conference.\n\nWhat do you trust about the bats?\nThe performance. I know no matter the conditions outside, whether it’s 50ºF or 100ºF, I have the best performing bat in the game. It’s a great feeling knowing that people want to swing Slugger after just seeing the results. It’s then solidified when they get to experience it themselves.\n\nWhat does the brand represent to you?\nTo me, Slugger represents more than just a stellar softball brand. The Slugger Brand is a family. You get out what you put in. From the customer service to the performance, the Slugger Family takes care of ANYONE no questions asked.","words_of_wisdom":"Don’t be someone who cuts ties with team after team. There’s going to be times where you want to play, but no one thinks of you highly enough as a person to ask you. Once you chase the higher levels, there’s less and less local tournaments that you can play with your closest friends. Other than that, just keep working, you never know who you’re playing against that will notice your game."}

Maybe it will help her develop a love for sports as well. I normally officiate high school basketball, did not this year due to time I wanted to spend with my daughter, I have been able to do that for the past 10 years now. I enjoy that because I get to help kids in a different aspect as well, part of me giving back to our area’s youth. I am not able to do it enough, but I do enjoy the outdoors while hunting and camping. I find peace in getting disconnected from the everyday grind of life. I didn’t go back for another baseball season, and my same buddies asked me to play and the rest is history. Played some buddy ball with league and local tournaments, that was fun but got picked up by a team out of Boise for a summer. After that the coach\/sponsor wanted to join the Conference circuit and been playing around that level since. I love playing softball because its not far from baseball or any other competitive team sport when it comes to getting to hang out with the boys for a good time. I’m always competitive, I hate to lose, so I don’t show up to lose but I still remember it’s a game and it supposed to be fun. That’s the fun part, challenging yourself at the highest level and competing with some of the best athletes in the sport.\n\nBeing able to be on the Conference circuit, I have been able to travel all over the US playing different locations. 2021 with MAJ\/Knell\/Dirty (A) we were able to make the make the Major World Series. We played “A”, “AA”, and “Major” all in one trip, good experience for myself in the softball world. In my years of playing I have been able to make a few All- Tournament Teams Cactus Classic and Pocket City Dual (2021), Kings of the NW and BBQ Major (2025). My favorite tournament has been on the USA\/ASA side in Anaconda, MT Goosetown. 150+ teams every year and was able to win the tournament on a couple of occasions, as recent as 2022. Then I took BP with some buddies in 2021 and got to swing the Red\/White AP Genesis and was hooked after that, a total 180 from where they were just a few years before. As good or better than any of the other bats we were swinging that day. I was approached by Jason Legault and Frank Henry about becoming an Ambassador for the Slugger brand and I couldn’t sign fast enough. Nothing has swayed my opinion that when I have a Slugger in my hand, I am going to get top performance from the bat, my personal performance may be a different story. In any weather they hold up, and you’ll be better than the guy next to you with something else in their hands. I first noticed this with the heat in AZ and FL, that the LS bats didn’t let you down while others weren’t holding up as well as they should have. I am very blessed and honored to be part of the Louisville Slugger brand and help promote the best in the game. It makes it fun to make believers out of people when I let them swing my bats for the weekend.
