Slowpitch JOURNEY

How did you get into slowpitch?
I started my slowptich journey with my best friend in a beer league. The director needed an extra team and we got a few of our buddies together from highschool and threw together a league team.

What keeps you motivated year after year?
I stay motivated by looking at what the future can bring. Seeing our community grow, building a team of guys who all have the same goal. Personal growth and goal keep me going. The grind never stops.

When did it become competitive for you?
Slowpitch got competitive for me when we got to our first all turf facility and we played those uppers teams. Our first couple weeks were rough because those teams were ranked and had significantly more experience. Seeing those players made me want to get to that level. It flicked a light switch in my head about how we needed to practice and play.

What got you hooked?
I got hooked into the game almost immediately. Being back on the field with my teammates and friends just felt right. Since then it’s been a big part of my life.

Why I Love THE GAME

What slowpitch means to you beyond wins and losses?
The friendships and community is everything to me. Our community isn’t massive, we are growing and that’s what matters to me. Spreading the love of the game and getting people active while having fun with something they used to love playing or enjoying something new. Traveling all over California being able to experience new things, from fields to meeting new people and the interactions that come with it had been outstanding.

Why Slugger

When did you first swing a slugger bat?
The first model I swang was the OG dirty Sanchez genesis

What does the brand represent to you?
Loyalty and the determination to get better every year is what Louisville means to me.

What do you love about the bats?
The forgiveness was the first think that stood out to me getting that type of barrel response off a miss hit was insane to me. The love color ways as well. It’s been a big one for me.

OFF THE Field

I’m a big family man and a sneaker head. I will always have some bright cleats and my family will always be at my events.

WORDS OF WISDOM

Advice for competitive players chasing the next level?
You gotta be a team player. Putting the team above your self interest will take you far. Playing situational softball and overall being a good person on and off the field.

Advice for new players?
Stay consistent, find a swing weight you love and put in the work.
