Slowpitch JOURNEY

How did you get into slowpitch?
My parents played slowpitch growing up! I grew up playing fast pitch and couldn’t wait to start slow pitch after college

When did you first swing a slugger bat?
I started swinging Slugger in high school for fast pitch. When I joined slow pitch I didn’t know much and had no idea they made Slugger Slowpitch bats! When I did finally find that out back in 2020 I have never gone back

When did it become competitive for you?
I didn’t realize conference was a thing until back in 2021 when I got asked to pick up for the first Florida tournament. Showing up not sure what to expect and soon realizing I was going to be able to go all out like I used to for fast pitch. It was a whole new world of slow pitch for me that I was excited to learn about and grow within the community.

Why I Love THE GAME

What got you hooked?
The competition and getting to continue playing the game I love.

What keeps you motivated year after year?
Knowing I get to travel and play with/against the best of the best girls and see my amazing teammates.

What slowpitch means to you beyond wins and losses?
Being able to learn from so many, meet new people from so many different states and being lucky enough to travel the US and be able to have fun playing the game I love

Why Slugger

What does the brand represent to you?
This brand is new beginnings to me, it’s talking to so many people about the equipment and how much I love it, when they use my stuff or purchase their own and they tell me how well they are doing it makes me so happy to hear their excitement and see the big smile on their faces. Other peoples happiness is my reward when it comes to LS.

What do you love about the bats?
I love the consistency of these new tech bats. They have amazing pop and hold up in all the weather conditions that I play in.

OFF THE Field

Off the field, as many know, I am a home body lol. You will catch me hanging out with my dogs and probably reading.

WORDS OF WISDOM

Advice for new players?
Take the advise other people are giving you. Even if you don’t always want to hear it, in the long run it will help. And never be scared to ask for help, if it’s hitting or on the field. Ask for help because other people sometimes can see what you don’t and you can learn so much from the people around you.

Advice for competitive players chasing the next level?
Keep putting in the work. Always have a good attitude and be a team player. You don’t have to be loud or crazy, you can be a quiet person but always hype your team up on and off the field and be there for eachother
